You can access this hike from either the Kancamangus Highway (starting with Greeley Ponds trail) or Tripoli Road. Tripoli Road is typically closed November until whenever the snow melts (usually end of May).

Description

The approach from the southwest is the easiest way to get to Osceola. In that direction, it is about a mile to East Osceola, which is another 4000 footer but has no view. The trail is markedly rougher between the summits of the two peaks. To do only Osceola from the southwest is about 6.4 miles roundtrip.
