Description

Just like Woodland Star Trail, Cougar Trail has more elevation change, more views, and isn't paved. Cougar Trail will take you up to some hills with a few views, and alongside Damselfly Pond. It's an appropriately named pond! Lots of damselflies and dragonflies rest on the murky water there. Cougar Trail is more exposed than Woodland, so don't expect too much shade on this hike.

Note that some trails in the park go through the park's boundaries. They'll go past barbed wire fences and usually there are signs that say "park boundary." Anything beyond the park's boundaries are uncharted and aren't marked, so don't get lost! There are also many cuts and unmarked spurs that lead outside the park.
