Features Birding · River/Creek · Spring · Wildflowers

Family Friendly This super easy trail is a great way to get the kids outside.

Description

From the main parking lot near Wayne's Pond, go through the Bluebird Barn from the parking area and down a gentle slope until you are presented with a T intersection. Go left or right to go around the loop, as the trail is easily enjoyable in either direction. Most of the trail borders a large, planted grass area, which is perfect for birding. Take your camera and take note of the view just south of Wayne's Pond toward the French Broad River. Make sure to take your book and your hammock for some extra time by the river.

Flora & Fauna

Over 180 species of birds have been sighted in the park.
