This Trail content is still in development or in editorial review.

A lot of hills at the start (gets your heart pumping!) and then it levels out with a few descents.

Overview

Features: Birding — Fall Colors — Spring — Wildflowers

Description

There is parking at either end of the trail, so if you want to go one way and have two cars you can park one car at each end and start at either point. I recommend starting at Cold Spring Harbor; there are a lot of steep climbs (a little rocky so watch your footing), and then the trail will level out a bit after the first road crossing.

Mostly Dry - They just did a great job trimming back brush on the trail from cold spring harbor all the way to the Long Island Expressway. Very good conditions.
