Description

The trail can be accessed off of Mont Chateau - South Trail near the Clay Run or from the intersection of Rattlesnake Trail and Rock City.

Starting from the valley near Mont Chateau, the trail has an initial steep climb followed by a long steady 4-5% slope. Once at the top of the steep section, the forest partially opens up with large rocks breaking through the forest floor.

The Rattlesnake Trail begins at a cut in the rock, dropping down into a crevice, so keep a sharp eye out if accessing that trail from this trail.
