Family Friendly Fairytale like forest with access to nice picnic spots towards end of hike at Stone Lagoon

Open year-round.

Description

This trail crosses Dry Lagoon Beach then climbs into Sitka spruce forest until reaching the Stone Lagoon Campground. This backcountry campground is popular with kayakers and is a nice picnic spot. The trail is also known as the California Coastal Trail, and provides access to Sharp Point, Stone Lagoon and Stone Lagoon Beach.

Bear, deer, hawks, eagles, mountain lion, Sitka spruce, huckleberry, blackberry.
