Family Friendly Kids will enjoy searching for banana slugs while on trail. Just be sure to not let them pick them up, as their hands will be forever sticky.

Description

Starting from the junction with the Redwood Creek Trail, the 44 Camp Access Trail climbs steadily through dense forests home to delightful plants like the evergreen huckleberry and wild ginger. Along the trail, keep your eyes peeled for the elusive banana slug as you navigate, eventually reaching the 44 Camp Backcountry Camp and later the trail's end at a junction with the 44 Creek Loop.
