Description

To access this trail, head to the Tall Trees Trailhead and parking area. Take the Tall Trees Trail for a 1/4 mile looking for the start of this trail on the left (south) side. You can also hop onto this trail around the midpoint via the Dolason Prairie Trail.

The trail begins with a relatively abrupt descent through dense, old-growth forest until it comes out at Redwood Creek. This area was protected from logging in the late 60's, and the trees are that much bigger because of it.

Flora & Fauna

Healthy stands of redwoods.
