“A beautiful trail through the misty Redwoods with the opportunity to see a waterfall along the way.”— Kristen Arendt
Family Friendly A short loop with easy access and minimal challenges make this a great option for the whole family.
The trail starts with a short, steep uphill with a couple switchbacks until you reach the cascade. Trillium Falls is a ten-foot waterfall surrounded by moss-covered rocks and overshadowed by the big-leaf maple. From here, the trail continues through a lush forest of towering ancient redwoods and vibrant green undergrowth. As you hike along the creek, keep an eye open for patches of the trail's namesake, white trillium (Trillium grandiflorum), which bloom in the spring.
There are some rolling ups and downs for the remainder of the trail, but nothing too strenuous. The trail finishes with a steady downhill to connect back up with the Davison Trail where you can turn left to make a loop back to the parking lot.
