Family Friendly With a manageable length and a secluded wooded setting, this is a great route to let kids burn energy and use their imaginations. The close proximity to the Knox Covered Bridge also adds interest.

Description

From the Mount Misery Trail just off the Yellow Springs Road (near the Knox Covered Bridge), begin the uphill trek. The trail gains most of its elevation in the first 1/3 of the route, but continues gradually uphill for its entire length. Enjoy the lush, forested path past rock formations and small clearings. Just over halfway, the steep Wolfinger Trail descends to the east. Continue northwest along the Mount Misery Trail to its terminus at the Horse-Shoe Trail.

While you're near the Covered Bridge, take a moment to appreciate this historical landmark.
