Description

To hike this loop counter clockwise, stay left at the trailhead. The trail will climb some rocky sections up into the oaks. A few switchbacks and cattle guards put you on an exposed contour until you meet up with some more oaks and a bridge. From the bridge, there is a moderate descent with some erosion control blocks and a road crossing. Stay off the road and go straight across.

The trail then descends to a creek that flows in the winter and spring. Hike cross a cattle guard and start some flowing switchback climbing past some sycamore trees and small bridges. The trail will follow a contour through some shady oaks before peaking out at a cattle guard and trail junction. Stay right and descend back to the trailhead. Or go left and enjoy the North Loop.

A very beautiful hike with amazing views and beautiful patches of wildflowers. Watch out for uneven rocks on the ground. 2.3mi — 0h 50m
