Much of the west side of the gulch has been a recent park expansion for the City of Mukilteo. The city plans to make significant changes to the area to make it more accessible to multiple user groups. As of 2015 the trails remain in a pre-development phase.

Trails are multi-use and traffic should be expected in both directions. Construction and trail maintenance require permission from City of Mukilteo. The center of the Gulch holds the BNSF train line, which is off-limits.

Description

A simple loop that connects the Japanese Gulch Main Trail to Hill Street. The singletrack is smooth but makes a few twists on the north side of the trail. The west side borders a retaining wall before providing access to Hill Street. It is an easy hike in both directions, although it's generally more of an access trail.

The 19th St. Connector or Mukilteo Community Garden Parking would both be better spots to enter the trail network.
