Description
This combo singletrack-wide path trail loop offers shortcut connections between the Ice Age Trail: Sauk Point Segment, the top of the East Bluff ridge section of the Ice Age Trail: Devil's Lake Segment and the Steinke Basin Loop. This is an especially great option if you're coming from the Parfrey's Glen climb and you don't want to waste time on too many flat sections of trail, as its connection from the Sauk Point Segment to the Ice Age Trail: Devil's Lake Segment continues to get you to plenty of ascents and descents southwest of Hwy 113, including access to the stunning terrain and associated trails of the East Bluff. The trail has both heavily forested areas and more open prairies but does offer some airy views off to the southeast, including the Wisconsin River valley.
