Description

Lower Twin Lake South Shore Trail, as its name suggests, runs along the south shoreline of Lower Twin Lake. It connects Echo Lake/Twin Lakes Trail with the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). It is an alternate route to the PCT from Echo Lake/Twin Lakes Trail at the west end of Lower Twin Lake. Fairfield Peak, close by to the northeast, can be seen across Lower Twin Lake from this trail.

One can do a complete loop hike around Lower Twin Lake using this Lower Twin Lake South Shore Trail, the PCT, and Echo Lake/Twin Lakes Trail. This Lower Twin Lake loop hike is about 1.8 miles long.
