“A lushly vegetated boardwalk leading to sublime views of Dingmans Falls.”— Hunter R
Family Friendly Children will love to view the stunning falling water along the trail.
Starting at the Dingmans Falls Visitor Center, follow the well-marked boardwalk through verdant hemlock forests and lush rhododendron thickets to the first waterfall along the trail: Silverthread Falls.
Slipping through nearly 80 feet of sheer, smoothed stone, Silverthread Falls provides visitors with plenty of reason to pause and enjoy its simple, yet stunning nature.
Continuing along the trail, follow the boardwalk for three-tenths of a mile until reaching the trail's crown and namesake: Dingmans Falls.
Dropping over 130 feet, Dingmans Falls is currently the second-tallest waterfall in Pennsylvania. It certainly doesn't disappoint. Be sure to bring your camera along on your journey, as this cascade provides viewers with outstanding photo opportunities.
