Description
Make your way along sweeping, forested terrain on the Hackers Trail, taking time to stop and view the rushing, foamy waters at the base of Hackers Falls.
Starting at the Raymondskill Road Parking Area, travel north along the trail, climbing gently over the first three-quarters of a mile before plunging steeply downhill for a short while. Once the descent has ended, continue climbing along the trail for another quarter mile, at which point, trend west along the
Hackers Falls Overlook to gain views of stunning falling water.
After viewing the falls, visitors have the option to either return the way they came, or continue their Cliff Park area adventure by heading north and linking up with the
Buchanan Trail. Over 8 miles of trails are easily linkable in the Cliff Park area, so visitors can create as short or as long of a loop as they wish.
Flora & Fauna
Forests of both eastern hemlock and oak abound on this trail.
