Description

This fire road starts behind a gate, across the road from the Clear Creek ranger station, at the intersection of Highway 2 and the Angeles Forest Highway. The fire road climbs at a moderate grade up to the Josephine Saddle. From here, you can continue up to the top of Josephine Peak (to the left), or join Colby Canyon (to the right), which either loops around Strawberry Peak or drops back down to Highway 2. Continuing to the top of Josephine Peak is steep, but gives a 360-degree view of LA and the San Gabriels at the top.

Great hike up to Josephine Peak in the rain. It cleared up and the view from the top is amazing. 8mi — 4h 00m
