“A forested tral with occasional views of the ocean.”
— Ben Wagner
Features: Swimming — Views
A short section of the Oregon Coast Trail, this trail is often done as a stand-alone hike for visitors to Ecola State Park.
Starting at the parking lot for Ecola Point, this trail heads north and quickly loses the crowds. As you make your way through the trees, you'll be rewarded with views of the ocean and the towering spires just off the coast. At the 0.5 mile mark, the path narrows and opens up to exposed cliffs before retreating back into the forest. The trail ends at the Indian Beach parking lot, with access to the sandy beach.
