Description
Part of the Natchez Trace State Park Trail System, the Nester Trail passes thru the eastern section of the park and is easily accessible from the main entrance. The well laid out trail passes through hardwood forests with frequent views of the lake. The trail is generally in close proximity to the road leading to the park.
Access to the trail is immediately to the left once passing thru the main entrance. The trail typically flows in the counter clockwise direction and the reflective arrows marking the trail are easy to follow. This trail is also frequently used by mountain bikers, so keep an eye out for oncoming riders.
Great hike. Saw birds, squirrels, deer, cranes, and turtles. If I went back, I would ride the trail on my bike
