“A wide, smooth, and easy path along the scenic South Fork Moormans River.”

Though a bit on the longer side, this trail is great for older kids who are building endurance.
The South Fork Moormans River Road starts from the northwest corner of the Charlottesville Reservoir off of Sugar Hollow Rd. There is a large gravel parking area for about ten cars. From the trailhead, the trail heads southwest through the woods following along the South Fork Moormans River. At times, you'll be close enough to the river to appreciate the scenic cascades. Overall, the path itself is wide and mostly smooth and the only challenge is the ever so slight incline along the way. The trail ends at Skyline Drive.
