Shenandoah National Park has over 500 miles of trails for visitors to enjoy, over 180 of which are open to horse use. This is one of several horse trails that range in grade, tread, and length.
Visitors are encouraged to take part in one of the parks guided trail tours that are offered from the spring season through the fall. For more information on guided horseback tours, see the parks
website.
Visitors are also allowed to bring their own horses to experience the tranquility of the trails by themselves. For more information on horse trails and personal horse use within the park, please visit the parks
website, or call (540) 999-3500.
