Description

Access the blue blazed Rock Oak Fire Trail on either end from the Big Red Trail. It is a pleasant hike in either direction, but more uphill from North to South. The climb is slightly more strenuous than gentle. The trail surface is consistent and mildly rocky, with abundant cushioning moss. Finding your way around in the park is easy, as all major trail junctions have signs with topo maps and location indicators.

Flora & Fauna

Typical Appalachian wildlife.
