Description

This trail can be done from either direction. I will describe it from North to South.

From the trailhead you'll soon encounter a junction with the Sullivan Lake Nature Trail #509, continue right from here. You'll also pass a junction on your right with a side trail to the campsites. From here, you'll be taken up in elevation and away from the lake, almost making you wonder if this really is a lakeside trail. You'll also go through a colder mossy area that will soon head around the corner, catching the sun again.

After almost one mile, all of the elevation gain will pay off with a great view down to Sullivan Lake. From here there are very few ups and downs in the trail with great views nearly the entire time.

You'll cross 5 different scree fields. Be careful on these, as some of the rocks are loose.

The journey ends at the south end of Sullivan Lake.
