Description

The Liberty Road is an unimproved road that access the north side of the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve from the town of Cretonne, CO. Visiting this trail is solitude at its finest, as very few people (except hunters and government employees) access this road.

Fishing in lower Sand Creek is excellent (although brushy), so bring your fly rod.

Flora & Fauna

You may see elk along this trail, particularly where the road crosses Deadman Creek.
