Snowy, Mostly Dry, Some Mud, Fallen Trees - 90% of the hike is dry and clear! Some spots of mud from snowmelt, but nothing debilitating. one or two spots of snow to carefully traverse, but I handled it fine in tennis shoes! Lovely hike. History

Getting forecast...

A loose, grinding uphill to complete the Red/Yellow Dot Loop.

Overview

Dogs: Leashed

Description

Complete the Yellow Dot/Red Dot Loop by grinding up the super-steep climb. Though almost essential to hike after a trip down Yellow Dot Trail (#357.2A), you'll most likely take no joy in this trail until it crests the top.

After pushing your way up the tight switchbacks and loose chunder sections, you'll dive into the same grove of aspens you made your way through on Yellow Dot Trail (#357.2A). After the aspens, the trail breaks back into the meadow and eventually reaches an intersection with Yellow Dot Trail (#357.2A).
