Bring your camera along for some of the most beautiful panoramic views of the Black Hills and Buffalo Gap in the area.

Beginning at the East Bison Flats Trail Parking Area, descend along a ridge to the valley floor, traversing a stream bed before ascending the valley walls to the plateau above. Continue on the plateau along rolling terrain through flowing grasslands, taking time to stop and enjoy the fantastic views of the surrounding area along the way.

Near the trail's end, begin the descent into Prairie Dog Canyon, eventually reaching a terminal junction with the Wind Cave Canyon Trail.

Grasslands and evergreen forests dominate the landscape around the East Bison Flats Trail.
