“An enjoyable, gently sloping trail.”— Chris McD
Family Friendly Similar to the other trails in this area, the Loma Verde Trail makes for a great excursion that families can venture out on for whatever distance suits them.
The Loma Verde Trail is well maintained with minimal change in elevation. This is a relatively easy trail offering great views of saguaro cacti and desert life. This can be an out and back journey on the Loma Verde Trail or you can enjoy making this longer by connecting to the network of trails in the area and returning to the Loma Verde Trailhead by different trails. Please make sure you have a map, one can be obtained at the Saguaro NP Visitor Center, in order to not get turned around among all the trails in the area. You can also use the Hiking Project mobile app to help find your way.
The Loma Verde Trail ends on the north end when it connects with the Shantz Trail.
