Description

Beginning from the eastern end, the starting point for Sitting Bull from Fat Tire is easy to miss. A thin wood plank, held up by a rock pile but easily blown over by the desert wind, marks a sharp turn off to the east. The initial path is also somewhat faint though it becomes more clear as it continues up the hill.

The trail is fairly clean, with a few smaller rocks to contend with. Cacti and lechugillas grow close to the path at several points, so be careful to not pick up scrapes or spines on the way. Sitting Bull quickly crests a short ridge and continues westward. At the half mile point, it doubles back and crosses an arroyo. The trail then turns back southwest and merges back into Fat Tire. A large flat rock marks the western end.
