Description

From the start, this trail immediately confronts a creek crossing that can prove dangerous depending on the time of year and recent rainfall. You might want to bring sandals for this crossing to save your shoes. After you cross safely, the trail takes on a pleasant character as it makes its way through more beautiful white granite on a hillside.

Eventually, the trail leaves the granite to enter a dense forest canopy that offers great shade amidst the pines. Through here, expect to feel the burn in your knees and thighs as you climb, climb, climb past a junction with the Jack Main Canyon Trail before tackling a steady descent to the trail's end at a junction with the Laurel Lake Trail and Lake Laurel West Trail.
