Description

This Trail is made up of switchbacks, large steps, and rocks as it follows a brook down from a valley between Sargent Mountain and Penobscot Mountain into Jordan Pond. Trail was mostly dry with a few spots that seem like they could be muddy with a decent rainfall. There are a few stream crossings and a bridge at the lower section. We followed this trail down from the Penobscot Mountain Trail to the North shore of Jordan Pond. If you were to Hike up this would give you access to summit both Penobscot Mountain and Sargent Mountain as well as other trails. This trail was done with an athletic 8 year old boy and a active black lab (dog) with no problem.

Flora & Fauna

This is typical Maine wilderness, It was fun to see the trees change as you get near to the lake as well as get to some flat ground and the wooden walkway as you approach the lake side.
