Features River/Creek

Family Friendly There is so much to investigate along this trail including side creeks, and haunted looking trees. This is perfect trail to let a young imagination go wild.

Description

This short, easier trail is often overlooked because most people drive up to the main parking lot instead of taking the slower route by foot. This is a wonderful access trail that is sometimes utilized by cyclists coming out of the Tennessee Valley.

This trail runs parallel to the creek and road, and makes for a pleasant outing. The way is almost completely in the shade where the undergrowth is dense, and the trees are spooky. In many places, trees grow out of other trees, and combined with the shaded undergrowth create a somewhat eerie environment.

Keep a sharp eye out for four-footed friends, as multiple small critter paths come down to the creek.
