Awesome trail but it's important to note that the 2ish mile road leading to the trailhead is extremely rough. 4x4 REQUIRED... and I don't mean AWD,—for example my 2011 Subaru Outback would not be able to make it to the trailhead. You need a truck or jeep with serious offroad capability. Tons of steep and really rocky sections that would destroy the bottom of a sedan, etc.

Description

Following the mountain ridge north of Georgetown, views of the town, as well as the Continental Divide, are numerous. Traveling through fields of wildflowers, groves of aspen trees and passing several abandoned mines, Bard Creek Trail offers countless photo opportunities.

The last mile joins with the Watrous Gulch Trail and takes you to Interstate 70.
