Private property with access rights, stay on the trail.

Description

The trail is currently closed due to continued trespass onto the private property and not staying on the trail. Other issues include litter and leaving dog poop bags on the trail or tossing them in the woods.

The main trailhead is in a neighborhood. From the road parking, it is 100 yards to an access gate with notices about entering private property. Access is granted along the trail only, so please stay on the trail to help maintain access.

The trail has a slight uphill grade for a short time and then levels out for the remainder. Hike through dense pine and aspen forests along singletrack. Note that this trail is open to mountain biking and is a popular bike destination.

Flora & Fauna

This area has been heavily impacted by pine beetle kill. Aspens seem to be taking over.
