Description

This is a great descent that takes you from the Pioneer Ridge Trail down into the Dry Fork of Belt Creek and The Arch Trail. The views are excellent as you traverse the upper portion of Hoover Ridge. As you descend you'll drop into the creek bottom. There is plenty of water available, but make sure to treat it.

In the early season, you may have to scramble over snowdrifts on the upper part of Hoover Ridge. The lower trails can be rutted from motorcycles and cattle.

Flora & Fauna

Watch for elk and black bears on this trail.
