A short 1+ mile loop with a rewarding view at the top after a brief trail climb.
Starts and ends on the shared section of the Red Trail
and Green Trail
. Many other spur and connector trails throughout the loop. On the way down from below the overlook is a short trail heading back up to the west-facing Leatherman's Cave - one of the stopping places and dwellings of The Old Leather Man from the 1860s-1880s.
Flora & Fauna
Mountain Laurel near the top. On sunny spring, summer, and fall days be on the lookout for snakes sunning on the rock face of the overlook. Copperheads spotted here.
