Southern trailhead: Exit the I40 at Tramway and head North for 4.2 miles. Turn right on Montgomery Blvd NE for half a mile. Turn left onto Glenwood Hills Dr NE for half a mile. Turn right on Trailhead Rd NE. Parking is very limited.

Northern trailhead: Exit the I40 at Tramway and head North for 8.4 miles. Turn right onto Tramway Rd and follow for about a mile into the parking area. There is a $3 parking fee.

Trail 365 is the best trail to tour the Sandia foothills. It runs parallel to the ridgeline at the base of the mountains. This upper portion of the trail runs from Montgomery Blvd to the Sandia Peak Tram and cuts through Bear Canyon and the Ellen Gallegos and Albert G. Simms Park. The trail can be used in either direction for most of the year.
