Captain Ahab is a very popular downhill mountain biking trail. If you're hoping to avoid the two-wheeled mayhem, try to hike this early.

Description

This trail starts about 200 yards into the Amasa Back/Cliffhanger Trail and veers off to the right. We headed uphill and thoroughly enjoyed every step of the way. This is rugged Moab singletrack and slick rock at its finest.

The trail goes for a little over 4 miles before tying back into the Amasa Back (Cliffhanger Trail) at the top of the rock.

We went early and beat the crowd and the heat. I recommend you do the same. What an awesome hike!
