BST: Adams to Fernwood

Head north from the top of The switchbacks Adams Canyon, this is mostly rollers with some rocks on corners and about 0.4 miles in is a steep small section. There's a creek crossing about 0.8 miles along. This is the stone crossing and it has a bit of a climb out with continued rollers until mile 1.5 where there is a bridge to cross the creek and then a downhill section into the Fernwood trailhead. There are facilities here with water and toilet. Turn around a follow the trail back to the starting point or this can be done in reverse if parked at this trailhead.

Scrub oak and prairie grass from spring to fall. Trail is covered with snow usually from Nov-Mar
