“An easy suburban/dirt trail running with some nice views at Homestead Lake.

Fall Colors · Lake
This is a suburban route combined with some dirt trails running in the suburbs along a small river, then passing by a lake. This can be done as a nice fast pace run. Expect traffic during peak times on the roads, otherwise it's a nice and easy route.
Park your car at the Spar centre in Bayley street, from there head towards the Engen garage and follow Cambridge Road left. Once you have gone over the traffic lights at Great North, head up through the park area and run along the inside of the park on the dirt trail. Continue up Great North on the dirt trail to the left of the road until you pass the grass roof church on the left and turn down the road to your left. You'll pass over a bridge, after that turn left onto the dirt trail again running along the spruit. This will take you all the way past Homestead Lake, where at the end you turn left in front of the small power station back up the tar road. At the Cambridge intersection you can turn right back towards the starting point.
Flora & Fauna
Up Great North Road the trees turn into great autumn colours in May, as well as next to the small river flowing into the lake.
