Description
The Soldier-Miller Creek Trail is a link on the northern side of Smoky Dome Mountain and is a great way to tour around and see the highest peak in the Smoky Mountains.
The ascent is pretty challenging for its entirety, so it pays to be in shape for this one. The trail is a little more primitive than the rest of the Smoky Mountains and sees less traffic. It does, however, have some great views as it climbs towards Smoky Dome. The last part of the climb is going to be challenging.
Once at the top, you'll have a short section of ATV trail before hitting the singletrack again. the singletrack will then descend alongside Miller Creek. You'll come across some road crossings, so just keep an eye out for signs. The trail will then end at a road switchback.
