Description

The Sweet Trail is a 4.5-mile trail stretching from Longmarsh Road in Durham to the Great Bay Estuary in Newmarket. There is parking at the end of Longmarsh road in Durham and additional parking at the 2-mile mark at a lot off of Dame road in Durham.

This trail is mostly singletrack with a short section of about a quarter mile hike along a dirt section of Dame road. The southern terminus of the trail is on a point of land jutting out into The Great Bay, where there are benches to rest on.
