Rocky Moto traverses across the lower slopes of the San Francisco Peaks from Snowbowl Road to an unsigned ending at the Moto Trail. Although there are no major obstacles or elevation gains on the trail, it is consistently rocky and somewhat tough going. There are some nice views of the higher peaks occasionally through the forest.

Rocky Moto roughly parallels the smoother and generally more enjoyable Arizona Trail (which does not allow motorbikes), and they can be used together to make a loop of about 7 miles. The eastern portion of Rocky Moto is useful as a connector between the Secret and Moto Trails.
