Description

A nice trail that takes you to the summit of Katahdin. When the Katahdin Loop joins the Saddle Trail, it does so halfway along it. Take the Saddle Trail up to the summit, not down to chimney pond. The final climb is a hard hike, but doable. It starts near the Caribou Spring and the end of the Northwest Basin Trail and continues to the summit, where it ends and The Knife Edge Trail begins.
