Description

The School Creek trail begins at a well-used ford across Ross Creek, where rocks have often been arranged to make crossing possible while keeping feet dry. The starting point of the trail at its intersection with the Ross Creek Reservoir trail is not well-marked, though the path is fairly obvious on either side of the creek. The School Creek path closely follows its namesake creek through dense forest with fern trees. A gushing waterfall is an unexpected surprise in the lower part of the valley. The trail continues up, crossing Burma Road, and then climbing through more pleasant forest before its end at a major trail intersection at the head of the valley.
