Overview

Generally closed after dark.
This well-groomed trail is friendly to all experience levels and provides a bit more interesting terrain than the dead flat sections downstream in the city of Sacramento.
Features: Birding — Fall Colors — Lake — Swimming — Views — Wildflowers — Wildlife
Family Friendly: This route is ADA accessible and provides stunning views of Folsom Lake making it interesting for the entire family.

Need to Know

Admission to park at Beal's Point is $12, unless you have an annual state park pass that specifically includes it; it's a popular local spot.

Description

Part of the trail from Folsom to Granite Bay. It's beginner-friendly, and nice for a swim during triple digit temperatures.

Parking inside the Folsom State Recreation Area is not free, but there is free street parking nearby.

Excellent foothill woodlands and oak savannah wildlife.
