Description

This trail starts at the North Fork Crystal River as it winds its way from Geneva Lake. Follow the trail as it heads over Trail Rider Pass. The Pass offers stunning views of the north fork of the Crystal River Valley and Lead King Basin.

North Fork Cutoff is a shortcut for travelers going to Snowmass Lake, but it is very steep. The trail is heavily used by horses and backpackers. Please give horses the right-of-way to prevent erosion near the trails.
