Description

This trail is about five miles from the Corral Creek Trailhead and provides access to Mirror Lake and Comanche Peak via the Comanche Peak Trail. To access the Mirror Lake Trail, follow the Corral Creek Trail to the Poudre River Trail and turn right. Follow it for a short jaunt to a junction with Mummy Pass Trail. Turn left onto Mummy Pass Trail and continue for just under three miles.

This trail starts out on fairly level terrain as it contours around Comanche Peak's southern flank. Just after the Comanche Peak Trail breaks off and heads towards the summit, this trail begins to parallel Cascade creek and climb towards Mirror Lake. Hike for about another 3/4 of a mile past the junction and you'll reach Mirror Lake. The views of Comanche Peak are wonderful from the lakeshore and this makes a great place for a break or a picnic.
