Description

This trail acts as a gateway to many other trails in the area. It climbs gradually as it parallels Baseline Road and offers up great views of the Flatirons and Chautauqua prairie. Baseline Trail has its eastern terminus at the main Chautauqua trailhead and its western terminus at the Bluebell-Baird Trail.

Flora & Fauna

This trail is directly next to Baseline Rd., so you won't feel like you're very far from civilization. With that said, the trail leads through the beautiful tall grasses of the Chautauqua prairie and you are guaranteed to see more than a few Magpies.
