The Lower Village Trail starting from the base of the Mountaineer Express chairlift passes gently downhill though pleasant woods paralleling Deer Hollow Road. Upon leaving the trees and reaching a maintenance shed, turn left on Deer Creek Estates Drive, cross Deer Hollow Road, and follow Deer Hollow Road downhill until just past Harmony Drive.

Turn left on a dirt and partially paved unmarked service road before reaching another ski area maintenance shed. Follow the wide, grassy Jordanelle ski run downhill, through a tunnel to the base of the Jordanelle Gondola. The Lower Village trail is about half singletrack, half dirt road/ski run. Note: bikes are allowed on this trail.
