The alternate route up the ridge connecting to Proctor Mountain Loop.

Features -none-

Description

The Aspen Loop Trail stays on the ridge to the north of the Proctor Mountain Loop Trail and affords views of mountains vistas. This is a steady climb up a mellow grade on a good surface. Just before the junction with the Proctor Loop Trail is a large rock cairn where people have left objects and offerings. To return to the trailhead from the top of the Aspen Loop, either turn right and contour down the first switchbacks of the Proctor Mountain Loop, or retrace your path on the Aspen Loop Trail. Note: bikes are not allowed on this trail.
